1. What applications are addressed with the VanS software for movers?
A: VanS software covers all the critical applications needed to profitably run a moving and storage company, from monitoring sales leads and tracking move management tasks to shipment profitability and post-move follow up.
2. How many moving and storage clients does Compusource support?
A: Compusource supports over 200 moving and storage clients, covering all the major van lines and representing thousands of users.
3. Will VanS schedule sales appointments and report closing ratios?
A: The SalesTrak module within VanS will not only schedule sales appointments and report closing ratios, but remind the salespeople of their daily tasks and send e-mails to prospective shippers on scheduled or changed appointments.
4. Does VanS have a dispatch module that allows the scheduling of drivers, equipment and vehicles?
A: VanS includes a Dispatch/Operations module that will automatically create and monitor multi-day operations tasks. It will allow drivers, helpers, vehicles and other move related equipment to be assigned to a scheduled task and selectively display scheduled workloads on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
5.How can VanS help with the compensation and reporting required for Owner/Operators?
A: VanS includes a complete driver module that automatically credits owner operators the correct revenue percent based upon individual revenue codes and the driver's unique revenue percentage. A detailed Driver Report is available with compensation amounts automatically transferred to accounts payable for check writing.
6. Will VanS be able to synchronize data with van line information?
A: VanS supports multiple types of interfaces with most of the major van line organizations. A few of the van line dependent options include; shipment information downloads from the van line to VanS, upload information from VanS to the van line, revenue downloads from the van line to VanS and statement downloads from the van line to VanS.
7. Can VanS determine the profit on an individual shipment?
A: VanS has an integrated job cost module that can selectively capture all revenue, expenses and general/administrative overhead on each shipment. This data can be viewed or printed with various selectable options.
8. What accounting applications does VanS use?
A: VanS uses Compusource's internally developed accounting applications specifically designed for the moving and storage industry. With both move management and accounting applications coming from the same organization the seamless integration between the two systems is unparalleled.
9. Are there applications in VanS that will reduce the time required to find and access shipment folders and shipment documents?
A: There is an integrated Document Management System (DMS) available in VanS. DMS allows clients to electronically store and instantly retrieve digital documents relating to a shipment. Using DMS will eliminate the time consuming search for shipment folders and shipment documents, saving hundreds of hours of unproductive time each month.
10. Can electronic invoices be sent to selected accounts?
A: Using the VanS Laser Forms application will allow clients to automatically send PDF copies of invoices to selected accounts. Copies of any invoice can be automatically converted to the PDF format and attached to the electronic shipment folder and/or the customer file, for immediate viewing or e-mailing.
11. How are software updates and support handled with VanS?
A: There is a monthly client fee for software updates based upon the number of simultaneous VanS users and the individual VanS modules licensed to the client. Support for VanS is based upon subscribing to a selected number of support hours per month.
12. What is the investment for VanS?
A: The investment for VanS is based upon the selected modules a client wishes to license, in conjunction with the number of simultaneous users for those application modules.
